A Ministry Article for Spring of Revival International and to the rest of the Body of Christ; by Dr Hans Petter Thue, founder and international leader of Springs of Revival International.
The message of the Letter to the Hebrews is a trumpet call to the Church in every generation. It lifts our eyes to the supremacy of Jesus Christ, the glory of the New Covenant, and the authority believers carry as sons and daughters of the King.
For a movement like Spring of Revival International, which exists to awaken nations, equip leaders, and advance God’s kingdom, Hebrews provides one of the foundational revelations: Christ is greater, His covenant is better, and His people here called to live in His dominion.

The Son of God Is Greater Than All
The writer of Hebrews begins with a breathtaking revelation of Christ’s supremacy:
“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power.” Hebrews 1:3
Jesus is not one voice among many—He is the final and ultimate revelation of God (Hebrews 1:1–2).
He is exalted above:
- Angels (Hebrews 1:4–14)
- Moses (Hebrews 3:1–6)
- Joshua (Hebrews 4:8–10)
- Aaron and the Levitical priesthood (Hebrews 7)
Every comparison ends with the same conclusion:
The Son of God is greater.
For Spring of Revival International, this truth is the foundation of our mission. We do not preach a system, a tradition, or a personality—we proclaim the supremacy of Christ.
Revival begins when the Church sees Jesus as He truly is: exalted, enthroned, and ruling with all authority in heaven and on earth.
2. The New Covenant Is Much Better Than the Old
Hebrews boldly declares that Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, established on better promises (Hebrews 8:6).
The Old Covenant pointed forward, but the New Covenant fulfills, completes, and surpasses it in every way.
A Better High Priest
Jesus is our eternal High Priest, not limited by weakness or death.
“He holds His priesthood permanently, because He continues forever.” Hebrews 7:24
A Better Sacrifice
No more repeated offerings. No more temporary coverings.
Christ offered Himself once for all.
“By a single offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.” Hebrews 10:14
A Better Access to God
- The veil is torn.
- We come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).
- A Better Transformation
- The law is now written on our hearts (Hebrews 8:10).
- The Spirit empowers us to live what God commands.
For a global revival movement, this is essential:
We do not minister from the old system of striving, but from the new reality of grace, power, and intimacy with God.
3. Let Us Therefore Live According to the New Covenant Promises
Because Christ is greater and His covenant is better, Hebrews calls us to a new way of life—one marked by faith, endurance, and boldness.
Let us draw near
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.” Hebrews 10:22
Let us hold fast
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering.” Hebrews 10:23
Let us run with endurance
“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus…” Hebrews 12:1–2
Let us offer worship
“Let us offer to God acceptable worship with reverence and awe.” Hebrews 12:28
These are not suggestions—they are kingdom instructions.
They define the lifestyle of a New Covenant believer and the culture of a revival movement.
4. We Reign with Christ Under His Dominion
Hebrews reveals Jesus not only as High Priest but also as King. He is seated at the right hand of God, ruling until every enemy is under His feet (Hebrews 1:13; 10:12–13).
And in His grace, He invites us to rule with Him.
“Those who receive the abundance of grace… will reign in life through the one-man Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:17
Under the New Covenant:
- We share His authority
- We walk in His victory
- We advance His kingdom
- We operate under His dominion
- We partner with Him in transforming nations
This is the heartbeat of Spring of Revival International:
To raise up believers, leaders, and churches who know their identity, walk in their authority, and carry the presence and power of the King into every part of society.
Conclusion: A Call to New Covenant Revival
The message of Hebrews is a prophetic call to the global Church:
- Jesus is greater than all.
- His covenant is better than anything that came before.
- We are called to live boldly in its promises.
- We reign with Christ under His dominion.
- This is the foundation of revival.
This is the vision and mandate of Spring of Revival International.
This is the life we are called to model, teach, and impart to the people in every nation.
