There is no condemnation under the law of freedom
There is no condemnation under the law of freedom

Today, let's continue our discussion on the topic of "There is no condemnation."

In our previous conversation, we talked about how there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

Today, I want to explore the idea of there being no condemnation under the law of freedom.

In recent times, there has been a trend of trying to bring the Old Testament back into the New Testament.

Some individuals believe that we need to go back to the Torah and focus on the teachings of Moses.

The Old Covenant blessings & curses

While there are blessings mentioned in the Old Covenant, such as the powerful promise that if God is with us, no one can be against us, it is important to note that these blessings are not applicable to us today.

You see, in the New Covenant, we are one with God and Jesus.

We rule with Christ and experience even greater blessings and power.

When we try to hold on to the blessings of the Old Testament, we limit ourselves and miss out on the abundance that the New Covenant offers. Additionally, the Old Covenant also comes with a lot of curses.

The law of Moses, which placed the Jewish people under slavery and condemnation, brought about these curses.

Through Christ and the law of freedom

However, through Christ and the law of freedom, we are set free from condemnation.

We are united with Christ, and we operate under the spirit of wisdom, knowledge, and kingship.

It's a completely different covenant and an exciting journey to embark upon.

It's fascinating to see that God had planned this from the very beginning.

He knew everything that would happen in our lives, even before it occurred.

He spoke to the prophets 600 to 700 years before Christ, telling them about the new covenant that He would establish.

Jeremiah 31 contains a powerful word from the Lord about this new covenant.

He declares that there will come a day when He will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah.

This covenant will be different from the previous one, which the people broke.

It was their refusal to follow the terms of the covenant that led to its cancellation.

His laws on our hearts

But in the new covenant, God promises to write His laws on our hearts, and we will willingly honor Him.

We will truly be His people, and He will be our God. In this new covenant, He also promises to forgive and forget our sins.

It's incredible to think that God forgives us and removes our sins when we repent and ask for His forgiveness.

We can throw our sins into the ocean of His forgiveness, and they will be gone forever.

This ocean of forgiveness is found in His Word, which contains His promises.

When God says something is done, it is truly done.

Even the prophets, such as Isaiah and Jeremiah, spoke about these things before and after the exile to Babylon.

God had to react because the people had broken the covenant first.

It's a two-way street.

And in Hebrews 8, we see a similar message.

It emphasizes that under the old system, the common people were not allowed into the Holy of Holies.

But now, through the blood of Jesus, we have access to the Holy of Holies.

There is no condemnation because of Jesus and the law of freedom.

It's not about what we can do; it's about what God is doing in our lives.

It's interesting to note that Peter, upon receiving the revelation that Jesus is the Son of God, was chosen by Jesus to be the foundation of His church.

The revelation of Jesus as the Messiah

This foundation is not built on Peter the person, but on the revelation of Jesus as the Messiah and the establishment of the new covenant.

We must also recognize that the old rituals and regulations no longer hold any importance.

It's not about what we eat or drink; it's about what comes out of our mouths that defiles us.

This is part of the new law of freedom.

We are no longer bound by the old covenant.

No condemnation for those who believe

Through Christ, there is no condemnation for those who believe.

We are under the law of freedom, and we should embrace the wonderful promises of the new covenant.

Let us love God with all our hearts and love our neighbors as ourselves.

If we struggle with self-love, we can ask Jesus to give us His love so that we can love ourselves as He loves us.

This will transform our relationships and enable us to fulfill the commandment to love our neighbors.

Preaching the gospel and sharing the love of Jesus

Let us focus on preaching the gospel and sharing the love of Jesus with others.

Remember, we don't need a religious system to come into the presence of God.

Through Jesus, we have direct access to the Holy of Holies.

Let's embrace the freedom and love that the new covenant offers us.

Church history

Martin Luther played a significant role in the history of the Church in Europe.

He led a reformation movement, emphasizing that faith is the key to salvation and that scripture should be the guiding authority.

This challenged the Catholic Church, which had additional books and rituals that seemed to complicate the path to heaven.

Luther's actions sparked a division within the Church, leading to the formation of the Lutheran Church.

However, even the Lutheran Church fell into religious practices and did not fully address the issues Luther raised.

This prompted the emergence of the Baptist movement, which focused on baptizing people based on their faith, as stated in scripture.

The Baptist movement faced opposition from the Lutheran Church, resulting in severe persecution.

Throughout history, various religious movements and revivals have occurred, such as the Methodist and Pentecostal revivals.

Religious systems and traditions

However, even these movements sometimes became entangled in religious rituals and regulations that hindered the true freedom offered by the Gospel.

It is unfortunate that the devil often influences the Church to return to religious systems and traditions.

We must resist the temptation to erect barriers and rules that restrict our relationship with God.

Focus on the revival of the bride of Christ

Instead, we should focus on the revival of the bride of Christ and remain vigilant against those who impose unnecessary restrictions on believers.

In Hebrews 13:9-13, we are reminded that Jesus Christ remains the same throughout time.

We should not be swayed by new ideas or legalistic rules about food or methods of worship that ultimately prove ineffective.

Such practices are often influenced by religious demons and distract us from the true freedom found in Christ.

We should not be burdened by unnecessary traditions or rules that inhibit our freedom in Christ.

While we must exercise responsibility in our freedom, we must also allow the Holy Spirit to transform us, as we cannot change ourselves.

Focus on the love of Jesus

It is essential to focus on the love of Jesus and His finished work, rather than engaging in religious activities that divert our attention from Him.

Let us spread this message of freedom and deliverance to as many people as possible.

It is crucial to reject any attempts to return to religious legalism, as it undermines the power and grace of Christ's sacrifice.

May God bless you as you share this message with others.

Thank you for listening and supporting our ministry.
