Mam and I attended a church meeting this weekend featuring a renowned Bible teacher and speaker.

However, once again, we left feeling disappointed.

Unnecessary condemnation

The speakers seemed to be serving tainted religious teachings, filled with manipulation and falsehoods that brought people under unnecessary condemnation.

During the meeting, many sincere young Christians came forward to give their lives to Jesus or to reconnect with Him. However, the speaker's message was focused on fear, questioning whether the attendees were truly saved and if they had cleansed themselves from all sins.

An atmosphere of self-righteousness

The atmosphere was filled with the voices of the self-righteous, eager to condemn and judge others.

It seemed as though nothing would ever be enough to satisfy their standards of righteousness.

Prevention of spiritual growth and maturity

Their focus on religious rituals and repentance prevented spiritual growth and maturity.

It is time for the church to awaken and mature.

Jesus will not come for an immature, spiritually infantile bride.

Instead, it is crucial to understand that our relationship with Jesus is based on what He has done for us and our unity with Him in the new covenant.

Let us move away from religious legalism and embrace the freedom and grace that Jesus offers.
