Lot's wife became a salt statue
Lot's wife became a salt statue

Your past is from this moment and backwards.

Your regrets about your past will not change anything. We all have moments in our lives that we wish we could change. Regrets from our past can feel heavy and burdensome, holding us back from moving forward. However, it's important to understand that dwelling on these regrets will not alter the past or improve our current circumstances.

The wisest path forward is to reflect on our mistakes with compassion, learn from them, and then shift our focus to the present and future.

By doing so, we empower ourselves to make more informed choices going ahead, ultimately fostering personal growth and progress.

While it's natural to have regrets, the true test is in how we choose to respond to them.

Rather than getting stuck in unproductive rumination, let us channel that energy into positive action that propels us towards our goals.

The past may be unchangeable, but the future remains ours to shape.

What will change everything is when you see yourself IN Christ

You are ONE with Jesus, IN Christ, the past is gone and you can stretch for what God has for you.

Romans 6:5-7
5 If we have become one with Christ in His death, we will be one with Him in being raised from the dead to new life.

6 We know that our old life, our old sinful self, was nailed to the cross with Christ. And so the power of sin that held us was destroyed.

Sin is no longer our boss.

7 When a man is dead, he is free from the power of sin.

Why Did God Create Us?

Like many, I had heard for much of my life that God created mankind to worship Him.

I believed that for many years until my eyes were opened to His love for me.

I soon started questioning the idea that we were created to worship God.

The thought suggested that God was some type of egomaniac who created people to tell Him how great and awesome He is.

Somehow, that conflicts with how Jesus portrayed His Father.

People praised Jesus and shouted hallelujah at Him, but it didn’t happen because He demanded it of them.

They praised and worshipped Him for showing them God’s grace, love, and mercy.

Praise flowed naturally from their hearts after experiencing His goodness.

It dawned on me that God didn’t create us to worship Him, but so He could love us.

The purpose of creation is for communion with God.

Any theology that doesn’t focus on that key aspect is missing entirely what the gospel is all about.

We worship God because we know He is a good, good God.

Only communion with Him can unveil that powerful revelation to your heart.

The Past has Gone - Embrace Your Future in Christ

As believers, it is crucial that we do not dwell in the regrets and mistakes of our past.

The Bible reminds us that when we accept Christ, we are made new - the old has gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).

We must resist the temptation to live in the shadow of our former selves.

Instead, we are called to stretch forward, embracing the future that God has prepared for us.

In Christ, we are no longer defined by our past transgressions, but by the redemptive work He has accomplished in our lives.

The road ahead may seem daunting, but we can take comfort in the knowledge that we are one with Jesus.

He walks alongside us, guiding our steps and empowering us to fulfil the unique purpose He has for our lives.

Rather than looking back, let us fix our eyes on the horizon, trusting that the Lord will lead us to green pastures and still waters.

Remember the wife of Lot in Gen 19:26

But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Do not look back, Stretch for What God Has in Store

As believers, it is crucial to understand that we are one with Christ.

The old has gone, and the new has come

We must not dwell on the regrets or mistakes of the past, but rather stretch forward towards the boundless possibilities that God has in store for us.

When we are in Christ, we are a new creation.

The shackles of our former selves have been broken, and we are free to embrace the future that our Heavenly Father has prepared.

It is time to let go of the weight of the past and focus our energy on aligning our lives with God’s divine plan.

God's mercies are new every morning, and He is eager to guide us towards the fulfilment of His purpose for our lives.

By keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, we can confidently stride forward, leaving behind the burdens that once held us back.

The path ahead may not be easy, but with Christ as our anchor, we can navigate the challenges and emerge victorious.

Who am I IN Christ?

In the Christian faith, it is essential to understand one's identity in Christ.

Firstly, the Scripture declares that through faith, we are adopted as God's children (John 1:12).

This divine sonship grants us the privilege of intimacy with the Almighty, as we can approach Him with the confidence of beloved offspring.

Furthermore, the Bible affirms that we have been justified before God, our guilt and condemnation removed through the sacrifice of Christ (Romans 5:1).

This imputed righteousness grants us peace with the Creator and the assurance of eternal life.

Jesus calls us His Friends

Moreover, Jesus Himself calls us His friends, no longer only servants but partners in the divine mission (John 15:15).

This elevated status speaks to the depth of relationship we can enjoy with the Savior.

Additionally, we are told that we belong to God, having been purchased at the high cost of Christ's blood (1 Corinthians 6:20).

This truth underscores our value and the responsibility to steward our lives for His glory.

Lastly, we are members of Christ's Body, intricately connected to one another and empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfil our unique callings (1 Corinthians 12:27).

In this, we can take comfort that all things work together for our good, as God orchestrates the events of our lives (Romans 8:28).

The Future Holds Blessings for Those Who Trust in the Lord

As we look towards the future, it is natural to feel a sense of uncertainty and even of fear or anxiety.

However, for those who put their faith in the Lord, the future holds a renewed calling and a secure walking with Jesus.

Through prayer and devotion, we can discern the blessings that God has in store for us.

By aligning our lives with His will, we open ourselves up to the transformative power of His love and guidance.

Though the path may not always be clear, we can take comfort in the knowledge that our Heavenly Father has a plan for our lives.

As we move forward, let us approach the future with hope, courage and a deep trust in the Lord.

For it is in Him that we find the strength to overcome any obstacle and the wisdom to navigate the challenges that lie ahead.

The One Thing the Apostle Paul Never Forgot to Do!

Paul did one thing consistently and if he did it, we should as well.

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this ONE thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14).

Paul understood that if you did not make a conscious effort to forget those things in your past, you could not move forward or reach those things God has for you in your future.

“Let It Go,” is more than a verse from a famous song in a Disney movie.

It is a biblical principle that enables you to move forward in peace while having great expectations about your future.

Choose to agree with God and forget what He forgets.

“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more” (Hebrews 8:11).

And remember what God says to remember!

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and FORGET NOT all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:3-6)

Do what Paul did: forget what God has forgotten and always remember what He wants you to NEVER FORGET!

You, like Paul, will always “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

That is the secret to staying blessed.

We worship God because we know He is a good, good God and that He loves us with His amazing Agape Love.
